Quick 30 min. drawing of my nerdy Dungeons and Dragons character that I’m still in the process of making.
Ria is a half-elf druid that specializes as a Bear Shaman. Aka she turns into a bear, and summon bears, or can just scratch at your face with the ferocity of one. My admiration of bears had to pop up in SOME OC of mine sooner or later…

Concept for a “spider queen.” Specifically Lolth, from d&d, as a challenge to redesign her. I’ve been looking at my work as a whole and a. I feel inconsistent, and b. I think my portfolio in general has way too much saturation for my liking. All of my favorite artists/artwork use a desaturated color palette, and I realize that I just always do the opposite when I make anything. My favorite paintings I’ve done turn out to be the ones that utilize the least amount of saturation. I also noticed if I delve too much into color that it throws off the contrast horribly. So! Something a little new.

Joel Robison
Cranbrook, BC (a smallish town tucked in the Rocky Mountains) where Joel Robison lives seems like a magical place, not only do books and coffee cups come in reasonable sizes but also a whole universe of magical, whimsical and funny images for us to enjoy.
